case study

Showcasing new ferry lines in the San francisco Bay

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

MacKenzie reached out to Okie Media to produce advertisements for the San Francisco Bay Ferry's new lines, developments, and plans.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • We shot on-location ground and drone footage to add to their library.

  • We produced original motion graphics and dynamic text to enhance the videos.

  • We used the footage in multiple press release, paid advertising, and digital videos.

challenge

  • We needed to highlight multiple new buildings and facilities across the San Francisco Bay that would entice commuters to make the ferries part of their daily commute.

  • Deliverables included both YouTube ads and digital out-of-home advertisements that spanned up to 11 screens.

  • Specifications for the advertisements were strict and specific, and our timelines were short.

PROCESS

  • Planned the locations and day schedules with MacKenzie.

  • Coordinated a comprehensive shotlist to maximize the allotted time to film.

  • Gathered pre-existing assets and branding guides and edited together multiple informational and marketing videos.

  • Created new motion graphics to enhance the video and communicate more in-depth details about the project.

RESULTS

We combined all the new drone and ground footage with motion graphics and pre-existing assets to develop a new series of advertisements for the San Francisco Bay Ferry's new lines and facilities. The videos were used in out-of-home advertising campaigns, city press releases, paid YouTube media campaigns, and multiple social media channels.

The advertising campaign continues to this day, and the bay ferry system has continued to improve and increase service lines.
