HUMANIZING aCCOUNTING FOR FUTURE RECRUITS

 

IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

We were asked by communications firm MacKenzie to produce a series of videos highlighting the benefits of working at Hood & Strong, an accounting firm based in San Francisco.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

  • We decided interviews with some employees of the firm would be the best way to create a personal connection to the audience in the videos.

  • We added a few bloopers to each video to add to the lighthearted tone and relatability we were aiming to achieve.

challenge

  • We had to travel from our base in Southern California up to San Francisco to shoot the interviews on site in Hood & Strong’s office.

  • We had to coordinate between 3 days and 3 locations, including an offsite shooting date, to capture footage of the employees and a volunteer event that the firm hosted.

 

PROCESS

  • We planned out each shoot date and assessed how much time each interview and shot would take to film.

  • We created an animated logo for Hood & Strong in After Effects.

  • We edited five hours of footage together into rough cuts and worked with MacKenzie for feedback and revisions using Frame.io.

 
 
 

RESULTS

 

Three 1:30 videos were produced, showcasing the human side of public accounting and why Hood & Strong is an excellent place to work. The videos are now being shown on Hood & Strong’s digital channels.
